About the Game

Mix Universe is a musical sandbox game where you play as a Mixonaut connecting nodes to create music that you can share in the universe for everyone to play!

Key Features

  • Create many different nodes and connect them together to play sounds and visuals.
  • Sounds can be chosen from a variety of built-in libraries (Piano, Drums, Space Strings, Synths, and More).
  • Sounds can be altered by adding elements to them (Volume, Duration, Attack, Pitch, LFO, Filtering, Reverb, Delay, High Pass, Low Pass, Bit Crush, and More).
  • Nodes can be moved, rotated, scaled, and snapped to a grid.
  • Fully functional undo and redo system.
  • Allows sharing mixes to the universe through https://www.mixuniverse.net/mixes.
  • Aimed to be friendly to those who are new to music and music creation.

About the Developer

Note: there are two Chris Zukowskis in the games industry. chriszuko.com is me :) howtomarketagame.com is not! (But he is still cool too.)

Mix Universe is developed by Chris Zukowski, also known as Zuko, who has been developing games since 2012, starting as an environment artist. Mix Universe started in late 2018 as a passion project with a simple idea: make an audio-visual experience in Unreal. As Unreal's audio capabilities expanded, so did Mix Universe's in-game abilities.
